Clay Wheel Throwing – Holiday Trees Tea Light

Join us for a festive and creative workshop where you’ll learn the art of clay wheel throwing while crafting your very own holiday tree tea light! In this hands-on class, participants will be guided through the process of shaping and molding clay on the potter’s wheel to create a charming, decorative tea light holder designed in the festive shape of a holiday tree.
**What to Expect:**
– **Introduction to Wheel Throwing**: Beginners and experienced potters alike will benefit from a brief overview of wheel throwing techniques. Our skilled instructor will demonstrate the fundamental skills needed to shape and center the clay.
– **Hands-On Experience**: Grab a lump of clay and get hands-on! You’ll practice throwing on the wheel, shaping your piece, and adding personal touches such as textures and cutout shapes to your holiday tree design.
– **Firing and Finishing**: Once your piece is complete, it will be dried and fired in our kiln. This process takes two weeks. You will be notified when your finished creation is ready for painting, showcasing your hard work and creativity.
– **Festive Atmosphere**: Enjoy a cheerful and nurturing environment as we celebrate the holiday season through art. Share your experience with fellow participants and make new friends.
Whether you’re looking to make a special gift or want to add a handmade touch to your holiday decor, this class is perfect for all skill levels. No prior experience in pottery is required, just bring your enthusiasm and create a delightful holiday tree tea light that will brighten your festive celebrations!
**Materials Provided**: All clay and tools needed will be provided, and your tree is included in the price, as well as your return visit for painting…all included.

Pieces need to dry completely before firing and can take up to two weeks, but are usually ready within 10 days. We contact you when pieces are ready to paint (no extra charge!) and you may come in any time during business hours for the painting process with no reservation required!
